Our Story
Jason and Crystal Medina opened Serenity Tree School of Natural Healing in January of 2021. We have a passion for helping others learn alternative ways to help their bodies heal themselves. As Licensed Massage Therapists and Certified Reiki Masters we decided to create a business that helps other people heal their trauma and wounds of the past. Crystal and Jason have experienced how therapeutic and beneficial massage can be to the body and mind in their own lives.
Having clients express their desires to learn how to heal their mind and body, it was decided to create a peaceful environment to help others learn how to heal. The old proverb states “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” This sparked a desire to teach people alternative and holistic ways that they can improve one’s health.
Our personal experiences have shown us the incredible capabilities of the human body when given the right support. Meet Our Team
Jason Medina - Owner
Jason is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) he graduated from Serenity Tree School of Natural Healing in 2022. Firefighter/EMR and Instructor for 24 years and recently retired due to a disability. Disabled Veteran of the United States Air Force. He is a Certified Karuna Holy Fire/Usui Reiki Master, Certified Sound therapist, Certified Crystal Therapist, and Certified CPR/First aid Instructor with the American Red Cross. Jason has a background and education in sports medicine. Jason is currently completing a Bachelor degree in Business and Communication from BYU Idaho. When Jason is able he helps teach Deep Tissue Massage, Applied Anatomy and Physiology, Applied Kinesiology, Sanitations, CPR and First Aid, Medical Terminology, Pathology, Reiki, and Sound Therapy.
Crystal Medina – Owner, Administration, Instructor
Crystal is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) she graduated from Healing Mountain Massage School in 2018. She has owned her own holistic healing and massage business, Crystal Clear Energy Work since 2014. She is a Certified Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Master, Certified Emotion and Body Code Practitioner and Certified Master Crystal Therapist. She worked as a Tax Examiner, Instructor and Computer Specialist at IRS for 19 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies and with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University Idaho. Crystal is the Registrar and head over Administration. She also teaches Aromatherapy, Chair Massage, Chakras, Craniosacral Therapy, Crystal Therapy, Eastern Medicine, Ethics, Japanese Shiatsu, Lymphatic Massage, Professional Standards and Business, Reflexology, Reiki, Sports Massage, Swedish Massage, Thai Massage, and Trigger Point,
Carson Medina – Receptionist and Reiki Master
Carson is a Certified Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Master, Certified Sound Therapist and Certified Crystal Therapist. Carson loves science, helping others, and playing football. Carson is also one of our wonderful Receptionists.
Cheyenne Farmer – Instructor
Cheyenne is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) she graduated from Serenity Tree School of Natural Healing in 2022. She is the owner of Earthlee Birth and Wellness. She is a Certified Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Master, Certified Crystal Therapist, Certified Sound Therapist, and previously Certified CPR and First Aid Instructor for American Red Cross. She is very intuitive finding imbalances. She loves learning and sharing her knowledge with others. She is currently furthering her education to become a birth Doula. Cheyenne teaches Prenatal Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Sanitations.
Jackie Potter – Instructor
Jackie is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) she graduated from Serenity Tree School of Natural Healing in 2022. She currently works at the Internal Revenue Service. She owns Halcyon Holistics. She is a Certified Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Master, Certified Sound Therapist, and Certified Crystal Therapist. She loves movement and stretching. She is all about helping people find relief from pain. Jackie teaches Thai massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Trigger point, Deep Tissue Massage, Chakras, Reiki and Sound Therapy.
Shanna Kennedy – Instructor
Shanna is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) she graduated from Serenity Tree School of Natural Healing in 2022. She is the owner of Black Pine Wellness and a very intuitive Reiki Master. She is a Certified Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master, Death Doula, Tarot reader, Certified Sound Therapist, Certified Crystal Therapist, Certified NASM Sports Medicine Personal trainer, and Certified CPR/First aid Instructor with American Red Cross. She is very intuitive finding imbalances through energy work and she loves to help others. She loves the body and helping others find health. She teaches Reiki, Sanitations, CPR and First Aid.
Tresha Standifird - Instructor
Tresha is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) she graduated from Apollo College, which later changed to Carrington College located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has been a LMT for 18 years and an esthetician for 14 years. She loves providing clients a relaxing massage that alleviates headaches. She teaches Aromatherapy, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Hydrotherapy and Hot Stone Massage, Reflexology, Prenatal Massage, Pathology and Business.
Matthew Cooper – Instructor
Matt is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) he graduated from Healing Mountain Orem Campus in 2009. He has been a LMT for 15 years. He loves teaching students about the body and the art of massage. He teaches Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue massage, Hydrotherapy and hot stone massage, Reflexology, Trigger Point therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Japanese Shiatsu and Thai Massage.
Brittany Paschal – Instructor
Brittany is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) she graduated from Serenity Tree School of Natural Healing in 2024. She is a Certified Karuna Reiki Master. She loves learning more about the body and helping others through their healing journey. Brittany teaches sound therapy and Reiki.
Jacci Nye – Administrative Assistant
Jacci is a graduate of Serenity Tree School of Natural Healing in 2022. She is a Certified Reiki Master. She loves learning about the body and helping others through massage. She just retired after 40 years of service from the IRS. She has extensive knowledge in teaching, course development, and material review. She is currently one of our amazing administrative assistants.
Taylor Child – Administrative Assistant
Taylor just graduated from Serenity Tree School of Natural Healing in 07/2025. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) She is a Certified Reiki Master. She is enthusiastic and passionate about anatomy. She loves helping people. She is currently one of our amazing administrative assistants.
